Polymer clay bead antiqued copper necklace

An antiqued copper necklace featuring hand made polymer clay beads in gold and dark red colours, featuring metallic particles, mica poweders and marbled textures. Each of the beads has been made by me, sanded smooth to a shine, then sealed with gloss acrylic sealant. The beads are joined with decorative spiral wire wrapped loops in a heavy gauge of pure copper wire.

The wire has been antiqued by oxidising it then largely polishing it back towards the original colour.

The central beaded section joins to a length of oxidised copper plated chain through a pair of small hollow copper beads, spiral wrapped to match the feature beads. The chain closes at the back with a hand-formed hook and loop fastening, antiqued to match.

The whole necklace measures 495mm (19½") at present, which can be shortened to taste, but not lengthened on this occasion. The main central bead is 15mm (0.6") in diameter.
