Chocolate freshwater pearl and antiqued copper earrings

These long dangly copper earrings each feature a pair of chocolate coloured freshwater pearls, suspended on antiqued copper chain. The pearls are a gorgeous rich brown colour and they reflect lovely burgundies and greens and have an especially lovely sheen.

I've antiqued the chain and copper parts rather darker than I usually do, to keep the chocolatey colour going.

These earrings can't help but to bring to mind the autumn playground sport of conkers - in which the seeds of a horse chestnut tree (conkers) are suspended on a piece of knotted string and used to strike your opponent's conker until one is smashed. I've always loved the glossy rich browns of conkers, so I don't think it's any bad thing.

The earrings hang 55mm (2.15") overall from the top of the earwires, which are hand crafted, tumbled for shine and the ends filed for comfort. The balled copper pins are also my own hand crafted. The chain can be shortened if you'd like a different length. each pearl is approximately >8mm (0.3") in diameter on average.
