Copper circle pendant with Sterling silver wrapped details

Hand crafted circular pendant of hammered copper with Sterling silver wrapped details. This is a substantial piece of weight made with great care and considerable time.

I made a generously sized circle of heavy gauge copper, soldered this closed and hammered it to shape. I made freeform squiggles of a finer gauge of copper and cold forged these to fit the circle. I soldered the internal squiggles to the circle for security in a couple of places and then wrapped where the shapes touch with Sterling silver wire. I cold forged a wrapped Sterling silver bail to match.

The entire pendant has been heavily polished through conventional methods and then finished in the tumbler, then antiqued to bring out the textures. I've taken great care to file all of the ends of the silver wrapping to prevent snagging.

The pendant comes on an antiqued copper cable chain 3mm wide - which fastens with a hand forged and antiqued hook and ring fastening, as shown in the photographs. Please let me know in the note box during checkout what length you'd like it - up to 500mm (24") - the one in the photograph is my own, yours will be made to order. I also have a slightly finer belcher chain in the same finish, which is slightly narrower overall, but with more densely packed links. I have photos of both together if you'd like to see this before deciding.

The circle of the pendant is 52mm (2") in diameter and drops 58mm (2.3") overall from the chain. The bail has an internal diameter of >6mm (¼") which will allow it to be worn on different chains or cords.
